This is really quite a sinister, unsettling feeling watch. Its quite atmospheric and does well at making the viewer feel on edge, seeing things from the main characters point of view, making us question his frame of mind and wonder what will ultimately happen. I was very aware of the way the lighting was done, in that it appears as if most things are in either black and white or greyscale, almost as if the colour has been literally drained…

I liked how soft spoken and thoughtful the main character, Reynolds, appears to be and the slow piano music played in the background of most scenes. I liked the settings, with some shots of old fashioned English towns. The dialogue felt somewhat poignant at times. While Reynolds seems quite a sensitive person, he isn't entirely likeable but I felt that the emotional performances between Vicky Krieps, who plays his partner, Alma and Daniel Day-Lewis as Reynolds seemed very believable and…

I like this film for its laidback tone and some of the dialogue is quite good - somewhat thought provoking. It was, I imagine, quite contemporary when it came out in 1989. If watching a couple flirt over a fair amount of time is your thing, then this is for you, I'd say. Its maybe a bit subtle and slow which may bore some but it does have a certain charm about it which I liked nevertheless.

This is a quirky film, with an intriguing story and interesting characters. Its based on a real life legend, apparently, so there may be some truth to it. I thought it was interesting how different people, locals in the nearby community, reacted to the hermit, Felix Bush and what we learn about him. This film has a great cast, including Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek and Bill Murray. I'd say its a somewhat thought provoking film and one I'd happily recommend, yes. There are some amusing moments in it as well as serious aspects to it as well.

This film is quite funny and the story is pretty original - some of the situations used to obtain scenes in the movie really made me laugh. The mix of dialogue and visual comedy in terms of the facial expressions and more slapstick type comedy is quite good and also rather cringeworthy in parts - the extra who's hired to be a Kit Ramsey look-a-like is pretty much the opposite of Kit, being a very nerdy, quite shy and unconfident…

I didn't enjoy this film as much as the previous 2 in the 'Before' trilogy (Before Sunrise and Before Sunset) due to the state of the couples relationship. However, it is still a thoughtful watch and it has a nice tone to it, as did the other 2 films. Its not especially overly sentimental, its a philosophical watch of sorts but this one features more in the way of arguments/disagreements. Its disappointing to see how Jesse and Celine have become,…
