Flying Backwards 2022
Would you like to fly back?
Thought I’d add the other short I made (yes two in one year, I filmed both this and the romance in the same week) it’s a sci fi 5 minute short we made for the 48 hour challenge sci fi London film festival, we didn’t get in but it was really fun and challenging to do! A fellow LB user who did the music and sound effects can be followed on here @lilpokermax You can watch…

Emily the Criminal 2022
Mostly liked this! But I think it takes a turn in the second half that sort of fucks with the greater message of desperation and the way that working class people are pushed to the margins in capitalism. Aubrey Plaza's so good here, just so captivating from the very first scene. Absolutely loved the flawless casting of Guy Who Looks Like Barack Obama as the boss who sarcastically tells the freelancer he's abusing to "go call your union rep".

Persuasion 2022
I am of the mindset that, when adapting a book to screen, changing certain things isn't always a bad thing. Oftentimes, it can be necessary. However, when your changes ultimately diminish what makes the story special, then it becomes trickier. Netflix's Persuasion attempts to make Austen's last novel modern and accessible for 2022 audiences, but it instead leaves the romance feeling hollow and the dialogue clunky. I'm all for applying modern themes to classic tales, but when the only way…

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 2022
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness feels thrown together. Some of it works, some of it doesn’t, but it feels surprisingly bland. The story never connects emotionally, which makes it hard to care deeply.
For a multiverse movie, this felt weirdly contained, and honestly a little forgettable.
Elizabeth Olsen always shines as Wanda, and Cumberbatch has plenty to play with in these universes. There are flairs of Raimi’s style from time to time, and this is the closest we may…

The Worst Person in the World 2021
We can't help but feel like the worst person in the world. Not to our friends necessarily, or our families for that matter, or even to the one(s) we share a bed with, but to ourselves. Decisions we made that we can't really call 'self-destructive', that's not quite it, but destroys our lives anyways. Destroys what we've built the last few years of our lives, and with no idea of how we'll survive after. Why do we do this to…

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts 2022
I wish it had less of the movie clips and focused on deleted scenes and interviews but an overall nostalgic and emotional watch. Glad I watched this alone so I can cry in peace

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021
I still don't get how MCU wants everybody to move from crying a lot to laughing hard in the next minute, that's how this movie worked. Undeniably the last 10 minutes of this movie made an impact on MCU's Spiderman that other Spiderman movies literally failed to achieve. I honestly loved that concept.I loved his character going through serious conflicts that audience can feel and form sympathy towards the character.
but at what cost? What led to this events? That's…
