Only Sabu films can take you into uncharted territories, with a new language altogether.

Mr Long (2017), while having divisive parts, finds it own in signature Sabu style towards the end, where again, one sees the birth of a filmic language of a moment, powerful as ever.

With many who regard this to be Sabu's best film, I agree, and here too - the clinching factor that makes worthwhile all the oblique tendencies of the film, is at the end finding fruition, where perhaps any moment of frustration or confusion felt is justified in overpowering fashion.
