My love for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford made me give this movie and Andrew Dominik the benefit of the doubt for way longer than I should have. I guess I, like this movie’s Marilyn, needed to be reminded that you should never trust a man, much less a straight white man.
