  Asghar Farhadi creates a kafkaesque world to his characters, making it hard for them to leave. Or does him? As A Hero shows, the world is always capable to surprise us with new ways for humans to be less empathetic.

  Harrowing and powerful, this film looks right into abuse’s eyes and never blinks. Menahem Lang is a fantastic man, so brave in his determination to face his past so he can finally set himself free.
