As it was explained that people were being replaced by completely emotionless alien duplicates, my wife observed that it would be impossible to tell the difference between me and my pod version. She's got a real mouth on her.

I accidentally watched the animated version where the lead characters are played by cows. In the Moo for Love.

A lush, meloncoly story of unrequited love and gentle grazing. Loses a half star for long moody silences that would of been an hilarious opportunity to let out a long, loud ripper...i'm not mature enough for this film.

“If I Can Change, And You Can Change, Everybody Can Change!” - Rocky

Thats from Rocky 4. He ended the Cold War.

This was really good as well. But didn't end the Cold War or anything.

***Possible spoilers alert. Blob victims are discussed. Could be spoilery I guess. But the movie is over 30 years old. Seems like adequate time to have seen it. Really on u at this point**

Spike Lee sure knows how to make an entertaining film. Once again the exploration of the neighborhoods, families and characters is the highlight. The issues of pigmentation and the ingrained racisms in these communities are the hot topics here where the titular relationship is actually the weakest part of the film. The film has great humor, strong cast, some intense scenes - drug den Taj Mahal is straight out of a horror movie - and a dramatic ambiguous final scene…

While working my way through the Brunel filmography I'm only now remembering I had this film sliced into my retinas as part of the stage show at a Pixies concert in 2009 celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Doolittle album. Amazing show. Last tour that included Kim Deal. Made we wanna grow up to be a Debaser.

    Got me a movie
    Ah ha ha ho
    Slicing up eyeballs
    Ah ha ha ho
    Girlie so groovie
    Ah ha ha ho
    Don't know about you
But I am un chien andalusia
