James Gunn you magnificent bastard you. This version is without exaggeration, one of the best comic book adaptations I’ve seen this far. It totally blows over the 2016 version with ease. It’s extremely violent, raunchy, profanity laced, no holds barred and gleefully funny. It exceeded my expectations and then some. It’s a wild and wonderfully weird ride. God bless you James. Thank you for giving us this hard R rated gem of a film.

After seeing this horror film that is Woodstock ‘99, I don’t want anybody talking about people of color acting like animals, looting, rioting, causing chaos and just being plain idiotic because wtf?

It’s a slow burn, obviously great performances from Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto.... but it’s like diet “Se7en”.

This film has everything: a heist, brutal fights, sub-machine guns, walkie talkies, roof bombs, chair bombs, twinkies, a bare footed protagonist, a well dressed villain, industrialization, men’s fashion, a coked up douchebag, the loving dad from Family Mattters, the hard ass principal from The Breakfast Club, ode to joy in German and pure kick ass entertainment. Its one of the pinnacles of Christmas traditions that needs to be watched every year.
