i love the queer representation in this movie (especially the 1666 half) because it portrays common issues that queer people face (feeling out of place, being targeted) without resorting to clichés that water it all down to “love is love” queer assimilation bullshit. nah love is more than that! for starters, it’s a spiteful motherfucker that’ll get payback!
fear street is basically saying this: don’t just sit passively knowing in your heart that “love wins,” make sure everyone else knows it too!
