I’ve always viewed Halloween 1 & 2 as one movie, and prefer to watch them together. A lot of people say this one is not as good, but I disagree. I think it’s every bit as good, and when watched back to back it seamlessly blends together into a masterwork of horror.
What a perfect way to end Falloween 2023!
I hope you enjoyed it, and I’ll see you next year for Falloween 2024!

Totally the most important movie ever made in the slasher sub genre. Michael Meyers is totally an icon for the ages, and serves as the founding member of the Big 3 (Freddy, Jason). Though some of the acting and line delivery is totally atrocious, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Donald Pleasance are totally great. Nice gloomy Midwest Halloween feel, except for the palm trees totally visible in the background of some scenes. Everything about this is so totally iconic. There is hardly a movie more totally appropriate for Halloween night. Totally

I’ve never identified with anyone more than Chef Slowik. It’s kind of depressing.

    S’mores anyone?

The birth of one of the gods of the horror genre. This movie has everything you’d want from a gritty, no budget, slasher startup. Bad acting. Bad dialogue. Atrocious line delivery. The murder of a real snake live on camera. Kevin Bacon. And a legendary twist ending where the killer is who you’d least expect.
However, it wouldn’t be until part 2, with the emergence of Jason, that this series would really take off, and cement itself as a legend for all time
