Quintin 📽 Philipson’s review published on Letterboxd:
This Spiderman sequel is fantastic and it's all because of the fantastic roster of characters.
From Dr Octavious's over blown ego, Harry Osborne's petty vegence, and Aunt May's scene of what defines a hero; all the supporting characters add so much to the overall film.
The movie has like two major action scenes and the rest of the movie is just watching some dorky ass kid come to terms with responsibility. It builds off of the original so well with Peter Parker feeling more fleshed out, his relationships to the side characters strengthened, and the villain being much more exciting. Doc Oc is an amazing villain and his design looks fantastic despite being over 15 years old.
Overall, a very fun film! I am glad one of my childhood favorites has aged very well.
