Quintin 📽 Philipson’s review published on Letterboxd:
I am pretty new to film (that's why I have Letterboxd to learn about filmmaking). I was about as casual as it gets four years ago with Dark Knight and Jurassic Park as my favorites, but a little film called Get Out was released in 2017 and it was the film that sparked my interest in film.
I have seen that film at least ten times now and have been a huge fan of Daniel Kaluuya ever since. I remember the 2018 Oscar ceremony was the first one I paid attention to and was devastated that Kaluuya didn't win the award.
Three years later, after watching Judas and the Black Messiah... Kaluuya is coming for his award. The film had a great cast and crazy story to tell, but Kaluuya was definitely the best part for me. The ending was fantastically horrifying.
He is a revolutionary!
