Daryl’s review published on Letterboxd:
Judas and the Black Messiah is the story of Fred Hampton, the deputy chairman of the Black Panther Party in the late 60s. Daniel Kaluuya is perfect and gives such a authentic performance and deserved his Oscar. Lakeith Stansfield, an equally important role in the story who was brilliant also. I loved the technical aspects of the film, the shots, the look and direction which are all extremely impressive. My only criticism would be pacing in the middle of the film, however, the third act is heartwrenching.
