The Master

The Master ★★★★★

On second viewing, I noticed the way the cinematography mirrored Quill's arc from freedom, from the way the shopgirl dances and the camera takes a circuitous path to follow her, to the stillness and slow, straight movements the camera makes when he's serving Dodd. Think time may show this to be one of Anderson's most important films, perhaps even his most important.
