Chris Cavazos’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shaka Kings’s directorial work on this film was extraordinary. Well paced film and great script about the life of Fred Hampton and his movement with the Black Panthers in addressing racial inequalities and injustice in our society, which still holds true and remains relevant nearly 5 decades later. Performances by Kaluuya, Plemons and Fishbeck were tour de forces and deserve any further accolades and recognitions they receive during this awards season. Bravo to King for a beautifully told story about Hampton.
