    There are two incredibly different ways to talk about Showgirls: The movie and The culture .

    THE MOVIE

    The movie itself is interesting and poignant if it existed in its own bubble. In shedding light on a sexually explicit industry whose male executives take advantage of and exploit its women workers, interesting commentary on gender and sexuality are made (albeit to varying degrees). The women often fight each other, while the men thrive.

    Gawdy, trashy, and sometimes sloppy, Cruella was nothing but a treat to be my welcoming back to movie theaters!
