“Don’t regret. Remember.”
the majesty of this film is undoubtable. it’s visually beautiful with a moving script and impactful music (when it’s present). the performances were great as well, with Noémie Merlant shining a bit brighter than Haenel in my opinion.
with all that being said, i never really felt the emotion. i always recognized when it was present, but it never passed through my objective understanding of it and into my heart. unfortunately, the success of the formal aspects of this film can’t hold me all on their own.
