It’s not terrible but I just don’t understand who this is for. It’s not devout enough to be for the religious, it’s not engaging enough to be for a mass audience. The first act was decent, most of the time we spend in Egypt is quite good. But then it turns into Moses arguing with a child inside a blue filter and it all just goes to shit. My cat and dog were fighting over a ball when the climatic Red Sea scene was on and I found the battle for the ball more worthy of my attention.
