Peter Burt’s review published on Letterboxd:
I did not get stabbed in the cinema toilets thank goodness!
Potential hot take incoming. Look, this is definitely hype or fandom talking, but I think Scream VI might be the best one since the original, or maybe Scream 2. It’s a step-up from the last movie in every way. The new core 4 really come into their own, and when they were in peril I was genuinely afraid. The horror, the comedy - it’s all bigger and better. I was holding back cheers and gasps. It’s just so cool and went so fucking hard. Some plot things might not hold up on rewatch, but I can’t deny that I had a blast.
I don’t want to say anything else to avoid spoilers, but I will say: Letterboxd gets name-dropped and I felt seen.
