Last Night in Soho 2021
Both Wright’s meticulous direction & Chris Blain’s INSANE camera work are on FIRE here. Not a perfect film, but totally underrated. Enjoyed seeing Wright tackle a different kind of project, clearly aiming to challenge himself thus far into his career. Give it a watch!

The Fall of the House of Usher 2023
I am a deeply devoted fan of Mike Flanagan’s work, and I am genuinely in awe of how his brain works.
Unfortunately, I mostly found Usher to be severely lacking in suspense, surprise and overall intrigue. The structure of the show is reminiscent to that of Hill House. The problem is, most characters are written as nothing more than shallow caricatures of “terrible rich people”. The actors are fantastic as usual, but they only have so much to work with.…
