Toby Keep’s review published on Letterboxd:
Crazy what can happen when you give a director his freedom to do what he wants. I haven’t seen the theatrical release since it first came out but I remember being a piece of shit and my rating is probably even lower now after watching this. No idea what they were thinking taking Snyder off this in the first place. I’m glad he finally got the chance to show off his vision.
I am hoping this doesn’t start a trend with directors saying they’re vision wasn’t fulfilled cause something like this will not work often. Can’t wait for #ReleaseTheRaimiCut to go trending on Twitter saying he didn’t get his chance to do what he wanted with the Spider-Man 3
