Men 2022
I’m not sure this was any good but I wanted it to be good so my expectations may have ruined it. Garland’s newest feels incomplete, half-baked, both heavy-handed and open to interpretation. It’s an odd film in that it likely requires multiple viewings, yet doesn’t give you much of a reason to enjoy watching it a second time.
Buckley is incredible, as always, and Rory Kinnear is having a blast playing all these dudes, but it all just felt hollow…

Shithouse 2020
Here’s the deal. This is one of my favorite movies of the year. Cooper Raiff is a name to watch.
There’s a sensitivity and realism that’s unmatched here. Maybe it’s because I’m currently in my mid 20s, not far from those college years, or maybe it’s because Raiff shows authenticity and honesty; regardless, this film fucking slaps.
