paultmanteau’s review published on Letterboxd:
Pretty good and often very funny send up of capitalist materialism and the toxic masculinity underpinning it. A lot of very effective directorial choices butting heads with the most common bad choice of all: the voiceover narration which only appears when convenient for exposition. Still, we wouldn't have the business card scene without it so it's maybe not a total wash.
In case anyone was wondering I tend to subscribe to the theory that Bateman is a shallow coward with vicious fantasies rather than an actual murderer, but I actually appreciate the ambiguity in the ending and really read the movie anyway you want it's all fine.
