Paul’s review published on Letterboxd:
Pure insanity. So many good set pieces here, so many cool new characters, so many great scenes. Every chunk of this makes sense feels relatively needed and just fucking bonkers. So happy the heart from the first one comes back in a big way here in multiple scenes.
Keanu was great as always here but Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, and Donnie Yen are great highlights giving their scenes such a sense of care and fury when needed. You already knew the fight scenes here were good but listen. They are so good. They’re insane. Deranged. Ugh.
Not many people are talking about how gorgeous this is either. Talk about every shot being a painting. Dude. This was just in different areas. Just earns its long ass runtime by constantly raising the bar it sets by itself. Oh my gosh. Ugh. I’m not sure how to even write about it well but yeah it fucking bangs. Jesus
