Patrik Sandberg’s review published on Letterboxd:
John Grisham’s violent legal thrillers once dominated the multiplex much in the same way Disney’s bland and stakes-free Marvel movies do now, but it goes without saying that they were of a far superior genre. It could be a great time to bring this sort of thing back now that we are living in total conspiracy mode in the aftermath of ethical journalism’s implosion and the consolidation of left and right political agendas into one plutocracy under neoliberalism. The possibilities, much like the relentlessly churning expansion of the Avengers universe, are virtually endless. And there’s way more suspense.
