Rachel Sennott! Oscars! Emmys! Tonys! Golden Globes! Grammys!

  • Misery

I’m going to do this to Ryan Murphy until he comes up with a season as good as Asylum and convinces Jessica Lange to return full time. 😍

  • Prey

Easily the best in the series to date. Finally a franchise realizes that you don’t always have to go bigger in the sequels… although not sure the studio thought the same, judging how this was dumped onto hulu. Deserved a theatrical release! Hope everyone checks this out.

  • Clue

The script is so subtly funny and each actor is so hyper-aware of their surroundings. Even when someone is in the background, they somehow manage to be funny, even if it’s a single little gesture. This is a masterclass is comedy.

And she would have gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for that meddling lesbian.

Don’t show this to Gen Z! I can’t sit through the TikTok discourse.

  • The Requin

    The Requin

I don’t think this movie is in on the joke. It feels like this was a sincere attempt at making a good movie. I can’t even decide if it’s “so bad it’s good” because of the second hand embarrassment you feel while watching it. It’s awkward! I think they thought they did something with this! I really do, and it’s shocking! But not as shocking as Alicia Silverstone’s bizarrely awful performance. It’s so bad that it’s actually camp! But what…

    Good Mourning

Is this good? No! Did I enjoy myself? Weirdly, yes. I’m not sure how to describe it. It has a film school quality that’s a bit endearing. A sense of just a group of friends making a movie together for fun which I quite liked even though it’s not all that good. I think there’s real potential here. With an experienced director this could have been not bad.

Megan Fox should be looking for more comedies. It’s her unrecognized strong…

My favorite Jordan Peele film to date… so I was surprised that my audience hated it. They were genuinely confused and angered by it, calling most of us “filler”. I found myself bewildered and in slight awe. I loved this. Very unexpected and very ambitious. It’s a weird spectacle! A spectacle about the ideas of a spectacle…? I think…? Either way, it’s great.

  • Bumblebee

While I’m not sure if this is a reboot or a prequel that just retcons everything… I kinda don’t care because I think I cried 10 times just because Bumblebee is so damn cute! He’s the robot equivalent of your pet dog. I mean come on! His little (massive) feet tapping as Hailee Steinfeld is trying to fix him up…!!! It’s just soooo cute!

I will always be a Transformers sympathizer but I’m sorry… this is where is draw the line.

  • Transformers: Age of Extinction

    Transformers: Age of Extinction

A Transformers movie that’s anti capitalist while simultaneously filled with product placement. I’m kind of obsessed actually.
