The moment with the Captain America shield and the lightsaber obviously sucks, but the weird thing about it is that it feels like a payoff to something that’s never set up. Most of the movie has thankfully avoided Ready Player One-style IP references, and the movie is literally about how original ideas are better than franchises, and then when the hero of the movie is losing a fight he wins by suddenly pressing the Disney franchise button? What the fuck is that?

Anyway I wish the whole movie had just been about Jodie Comer and Joe Keery. They’re cute.

That one joke with Jennifer Lawrence and the general is really funny. Wish there was more of that
