PastorMattR’s review published on Letterboxd:
When my wife is home, I have to find horror/thrillers that I know she can stomach, so I had to deviate from my run through 1996 and 1971 to pick out this 2007 David Fincher gem.
Based fairly accurately on the scattered investigation into the infamous serial killer led by a cartoonist and a frustrated police detective, it is a compelling film. It is a slow burn and many complained that the true story didn't have a satisfactory conclusion (what did they want???). Yet, it is filled with amazing performances and a number of truly creepy scenes. It is highly recommended.
Following the IMDB rating system, I give it 10/10 and call it a must own.
