From a Whisper to a Scream

    ★★★★½

Possibly the most underrated horror anthology ever? How did I not even know about this until this year? Creepy, sleazy, & morbid; all in just the right measure 👩‍🍳 💋

Mermaid Chronicles Part 1: She Creature

    ★★★½

Chop 30 minutes out of this and it could’ve been a pretty excellent Masters of Horror entry, but for mermaid-horror (of which I know of few and have now seen one) I’ll take it!

    Talk Radio

    ★★★★½

Why were we all not blessed with so much more Eric Bogosian after this (i know he’s in UG)?!

Between this, JFK, and U-Turn, catching up on some Oliver Stone gaps has been a bright spot on this yeat.

Nixon or Born On The 4th of July next?

  • Waves

    Waves

    Destroyer

    ★★★★

This movie ends with a slow motion kickflip and I’m very stuck on it.

  • Rules of Engagement

    Rules of Engagement

    ★★★½

Lackluster in almost every way imaginable, but I have a soft spot for jingoistic military courtroom dramas so fuck it, 3.5
