Sorry to Bother You 2018
I was in love with this, then it went double batshit insane, and I loved it even more

Hell Baby 2013
After listening to Tom Lennon on The Movie Crypt I decided to finally give this a spin, and its pretty rough. It plays like mediocre sketch comedy stretched out way too long, and any semblance of a joke gets milked to groan-inducing lengths.
I did mostly enjoy the priests and the cops whenever they were on screen though, so this gets a generous 2.5.

The Bad Batch 2016
I enjoyed this quite a bit despite being somewhat frustrated by the meandering pace. Some good editing could’ve/should’ve chopped this down a good 20 minutes and made it a real banger IMO. Still, it’s gross and acid-soaked and an interesting ride worth taking.
Also, where has Suki Waterhouse been my whole life? 💘

Assassination Nation 2018
Had to watch it two nights in a row because I was in love but mildly let down by the last act. And while the second viewing confirmed it is the weaker act, it didn’t at all detract from my enjoyment and firmly cemented AN in my top 10 (possibly top 5) of the year.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 1989
I’ve watched this at least once every year since it came out and can’t imagine going a year without. blends so many tones and types of humor it’s hard to believe it works and holds up so well, and even though it’s a goofy mess, it’ll always be a 5 in my heart.

Mom and Dad 2017
Nic Cage passionately rage-ranting about growing-up to be a huge weiner whilst destroying a pool table with a sledgehammer = supremely my shit

Rocky Balboa 2006
“Still have some stuff in the basement”
Not quite as good as Creed (mostly because Rocky is even older and more divorced from the sport there, and the more sad and crumbling the Rocky, the better), but this gets back to the soul of the character the best since the first two and is easily my favorite Rocky-inside-the-ring film besides the original.
