Bong Joon-Ho is a master, with his orchestration of ensemble scenes here showcasing how great he is at filmmaking; by blocking actors to perfection & often employing multiple characters doing multiple different things at multiple different spatial depths within a single frame, he leaves every moment rich. Every frame tends to the tone of the sequence it’s imbedded within, and most frames are left looking like Renaissance paintings - this being just one example of how he makes use of the cinematic medium to its highest potential.
