Very impressed. What could have easily just been another snooty Oscar bait period piece is directed with so much heart and feels so personal that it's hard to not find yourself overwhelmed with emotion with all the payoffs between the characters in the second half. It also features all the daggers to my heart: the feeling of worthlessness that comes with family, the uncertainty of a life in the arts, and the end of childhood. Greta Gerwig is the real deal.
