Some thoughts as I laid comatose on my couch this evening:
-Ok why are the Bakers late to Lorraine's graduation? Sure, they're a family of 12 but damn, you think they would have planned for this

-Nora is so self-centered, like she says that she's "not going to make this about" herself but then proceeds to tell everyone's she moving on stage at Lorraine's grad party?! Like goddamn

not sure if john carney will ever make a movie that feels more like an apple commercial than this one (which you know, says a lot given his filmography), but he does a good job making even the most twee shit go down smooth. going to need a permanent ban of the "both sides now" cheat code from the sundance film festival though. hewson is great. stream the knick on hbo max.
