Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore 1974
When looking at Martin Scorsese's whole filmography, there are a couple films that really stand out for being against type. The Last Temptation of Christ 1988
12 quirked up white boys + Jesus Christ himself wander around evangelizing. A deeply religious and personal project for Scorsese, I really respect the guy for persevering and getting this picture made despite all the setbacks and pushback from radical nut jobs.

Babylon 2022
Babylon was the last movie I saw in theaters in 2022, and now it’s the first one I’ve seen in 2023. I decided this film deserved that latter distinction more than M3GAN.
After listening to the soundtrack in my car for a week straight and forcing all my friends to listen to it all New Year’s Eve, I can confirm this is the best score of the year. If this doesn’t win the Academy Award I will personally lead riots through the streets.

M3GAN 2022
Oh boy it sur3 is January. This movi3 is a jok3. M3GAN is anoth3r viral TikTok movi3 and just lik3 Smile it is laughably bad. Th3 p3rformanc3s w3r3 by far th3 worst off3nd3r; th3 d3liv3ri3s and production of it all was lik3 watching a Hallmark movi3 try to b3 scary. And to s33 this with such a pack3d crowd? I don't normally go to th3 th3at3rs on…
