Watched the workprint, and was taken aback by how much I enjoyed it-pacing’s a little tighter, characters have more little business to do, there’s a lot of neat world-building audio, and the print is incredible. Even the narration they keep is good! Only drawback is a lack of Vangelis towards the end, but at least it’s Humanoids from the Deep music. I could find myself coming back to this version quite a bit. Confident that the film’s initial release would have gone better if this is what came out.
