Growing up in The Netherlands, I have always had this aversion to Dutch movies. From a young age, I have had this staunch believe that movies are supposed to be made in Hollywood™. As a result, I hardly ever bothered watching movies from my own country.

Since I started treating my movie watching a bit more serious, I have seen many productions from outside the U.S. (mostly from other European countries and Asia,) yet Dutch movies still haven't gotten any love from me.

This is what I want to change..

I have made this list primarily to push myself into finally giving these films a chance. It is by no means a definitive list; I will likely add more to it over time. Also I have no idea how easy it will be to watch any of these, but they seemed interesting to me.
