Compared with "You've Got Mail", "She's the Man" or "O Brother, Where Art Thou?", it can be found that this film does not find a strong connection between the core and the character relationship with the famous book at all, and It is full of kitsch fantasies about new money's own image. In fact, the middle class in Beverly Hills already has a cultural template of their own community, and they really don't need to flatter European classical civilization.

The audio-visual language is very magical, giving the 1960s story a contemporary flair, and the "happening" mood and idea are embedded in every detail. As a serious first-person film, it uses hand-held shots and shallow-focus shots brilliantly, quietly reaching the depths of the characters' hearts - from this perspective, it is no worse than "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days"

The movie has illogical, disastrous performances (including perfunctorily group acting), late dubbing and scene scheduling. I can't understand why everyone is praising.

The movie poses a stance to revival retro whodunits of the original style, but I think each second of the movie could be forecasted by anyone 10 min advanced at least. Even though the script is such terrible, in order to accomplish it, the writer still added some far-fetched settings such as "telling lie and throw up" or " smart dogs"... it's too weak... Making a little effort on art design and adding some stereotype political jokes can't make anything change
