Taking one star off because this movie is not worth me getting my ass beat this weekend as a server at a movie theater.

Ryan Coogler did his best with the honest mess making this movie turned out to be.

Not even the Rock can save bad pacing and a movie that was about 30 minutes too long.

Pacing was real funky and the dialogue left something to be desired.

Florence Pugh carried most of this movie. I understand the standing ovation for her at Cannes. The sound team did the rest.

Chris Pine and Emma Chan were stellar too. I would have rather the movie be about them, tbh, but they showed the fuck up for this film.

Another review said "messy but fun," and I agree. If you have any desire to see it, do it, it's entertaining. It's just not what it could've been.

My dad loved this movie so an extra star for that.

You can tell that everyone involved in making this movie was thinking, "we just need to end this, and we'll be free.

Watching this is hard when you're a person who watches twilight on a yearly basis and can really see how this was a fan fic first.

I wanted my life to be like a Sarah Dessen novel so bad. I wanted to inject every single one of her books into my veins. This movie captured exactly what I remember feeling when reading them.
