A Euro thriller where bad things happen in a calculated, at times, clinical way makes you go straight to Haneke. Although released before his Debut, the fact that Stanely Kubrick was so enthralled by this is proof enough for the H-Connection as well as a bridge to Mr.Barry Lyndon. The formulae of MCU are all over this one. Familiar beats, jokes, and characters try their best to complicate a simple equation, but even with all its twists and turns; it feels like sprinting on a treadmill. Yeah things are moving, but are we really going anywhere? Props to Thor and Strange.
