Martin 1976
8/31
greetings from Cinema Wasteland yet again folks!
This was the October show celebrating Romeros Martin, it was a lot of fun and I've got some reviews for ya.First up at 12 pm we watched The Son of Ghoul Three Stooges marathon, I've always really loved The Stooges since I was a kid. It was a full hour of fun times, my personal favorite was Pop Goes The Weasel.
This was my girlfriend Alyssas introduction to the stooges as… -
The Peanut Butter Falcon 2019

The Lighthouse 2019
It was clear the moment both actors appeared on the screen that this was going to be something special. To put it simply, this is the result of everyone behind the film being on the same page and doing their absolute best. It’s not something where I can pick my favorite aspect, it’s all overwhelmingly good. It was clear throughout the film that this was not the end of this experience, with sounds and images so specific and beautiful that…

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood 2019
It's disarming at first to watch a Tarantino movie that's not driven by a quest for revenge or a big score, that's just about some people living their lives. And once I settled into its groove, I never wanted to leave it behind.

Ad Astra 2019
YouTube review - m.youtube.com/watch?v=WlrvqAgNWWA
I appreciated this more than I enjoyed it.
Exceptional cinematography as we’ve come to expect from Hoyte Van Hoytema, seamless special effects and a great, restrained performance from Brad Pitt really help this excel on a technical level.
The pacing was very slow at times and I really felt the runtime. I also felt the film would’ve been stronger had it ended 5 minutes sooner allowing for a bit more ambiguity. All in all a strong…

Raw 2016
Raw emits the same mood as the cow heart dissection in my 12th grade human anatomy class:
staring at the wet mound of pale red flesh soak through the brown paper towel, i thought, "this is probably the only time you will ever touch a cow heart in your life,” in blinking neon letters. “you are not good at math and science. you will never pursue this as a career. this is it.”
my lab partner was an actual, signed…
