Niche, transgressive, and weird films that are well known in cinephile circles but would blow the average filmgoer's mind. Beginner doesn't mean it's accessible, rather that they're likely to encounter these films earlier into their descent into weirdness due to them being more popular, acclaimed, or attached to famous filmmakers. I have not seen many of these and am judging on reputation.

Most of these come with severe content and trigger warnings. I am in the process of adding warnings, but still research them on your own if you're sensitive to certain topics and content.
