Oliver Welch’s review published on Letterboxd:
Albeit skillfully crafted and wonderfully scored, Phantom Thread features one of Daniel Day-Lewis’ worst performances, as he’s on the verge of playing himself. Even, to note, the subtle gestures toward plot details can’t save the film from a bland narrative which contains a disagreeable assertion of how certain women treat their relationships in a dysfunctional marriage. This, ultimately, makes for a mostly tedious viewing experience with little to offer emotionally.
