A delirious and zany stoner’s odyssey. Low on plot, high on pot, rough around the edges, and certainly could have used a generous helping of editing to keep things tighter, but even so, The Lad Goodbye is more engaging, funny, and memorable than I expected it to be, and considering its limitations, I would say this is an admirable first effort from the Film Lads. Also, Jean Wayne for Best Supporting Actor.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout 2018
Driven by an epic, grandiose score and blowing our socks off with its breathtaking action and jaw-dropping stunts, Fallout is undoubtedly the peak of the series and not only works as a technical masterclass and sterling example of its genre but as a test of Ethan Hunt’s unflinching strength and heroism, with Tom Cruise proving once again to be an unstoppable force of nature that will do anything in the name of entertaining his audience.
