    Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

This the first movie I’ve turned off midway through in a long, LONG, time. It’s a generic piece of trash that’s not worth a single second of the time it takes to slog through it. It also has a hugely unnecessary scene of dinosaurs running themselves off of a cliff into a certain death and later a Brachiosaurus  being burned alive by lava. This is torture porn garbage.

    Halloweentown

    ★★★

Anchored by impressive effects, a unique premise, and a fully committed performance by the late Debbie Reynolds, Halloweentown is a shockingly well-made and thorough made-for-cable Halloween movie. Ordinarily, Disney Channel exclusive content was as hokey and unimaginative as their direct-to-VHS sequels to classic animated features. Set in Salem, Oregon, and based off of Ken Kesey's 1962 novel of the same name, Randle Patrick…

    Hubie Halloween

If the thought of Adam Sandler portraying someone with a near inaudible mutter that's fanatical about safety during Halloween gets your goat, Hubie Halloween is just the film for you. If you're like me and prefer your Adam Sandler roles with a modicum of effort added to it, you, too, will see this movie as another boring, useless Happy Madison work.

I won't lie. I'm not disappointed in Hubie Halloween. I'm disappointed in Adam Sandler. Everyone knows his hustle now.…
