Maria’s review published on Letterboxd:
This ended up being such a deeply moving and rewarding trilogy. It captures so well the nature of YA horror books—their silliness, yes, but also their immense heart. 1666 was my favourite of the trilogy; it wraps it up wonderfully, while also providing satisfying answers and great world-building. There’s something wonderful about the way it constructs Shadyside and Sunnyvale and their inhabitants, throughout time and space. Absolutely loved the way it showed how generational wealth and power are accumulated and hoarded at the expense of others. And absolutely loved the lesbian relationship that propels this narrative; love is the beating heart of this trilogy, whether it's between outsiders & outcasts, between sisters, and especially, between two teenage girlfriends.
