Steve McQueen makes place for something that's very new for him, something extremely warm, joyful and sensual and I'm fully here for it. The soundtrack, the directing, the editing, the cinematography, the world building, the chemistry.. astounding! The actors are just as beautiful as every other part of the film. Very refreshing to finally see a film that's so full of black people experiencing joy and harmony. Genuine wholesomeness. And yeah.. of course I cried at the beauty of *that* scene. Beautiful escapism. A party! Love!
