Judith's premature boyfriend was the real culprit. Had he lasted a little longer, he may have taken the six year old shape or at least fought him off long enough for Mr and Mrs Myers to help. Speaking of which, where do all the adults of Haddonfield bugger off to each and every year?
Halloween was always my least favourite of the Carpenter classics. Though admittedly pretty awesome and unrelenting in its intention. The score is a powerful asset and when Laurie walks to the Wallace house the entire affair is at a terrifying pitch. I also love the Michael POV camera work and Jamie's performance.
Still it just doesn't entertain, scare or disgust me quite enough to make the all time list.
