Assured, colourful, playful and honest fun, fun, fun from Gunn. Locked, cocked and cranked to 11, the Guardians, e(r)go the audience, get to go on a pretty wild ride in this sequel to one of my favourite space jams of recent years. Its a winning combo of likeable characters, causal attitudes, 80's callbacks, killer tracks and Kurt Russell. Following the trailer, I had my doubts, fear not, this is more of the same, the shtick still works and I just had a blast; from the past, back the future & all the way down to china town! My advice, live a little and go see this frickin' thing.
