Being a public holiday, a fan of sci-fi and Edward's previous films, I happily took myself to see a 10am showing of this badboi!

Really went for The Creator. The visual style and production design is right up my alley. The direction, story and action is boss. Washington's excellent as were the (largly unknown to me) cast. Felt unique, real, palpable and very enjoyable. Crazy tech everywhere. Very cool indeed.

Potentially a 1/2 star cinema bump.

I understand the causality between state of mind and judgment of art. I've had a long, rough day.

That having been duly considered, this might objectively just a be stinker. There are some obvious moments of trash (no glove no love), and Mario looks like he's having fun. However, proceedings are hokey, amateurish and cheap; the scenarios both preposterous and dull.

Further, the story is pants, dialogue terrible and fights poorly choreographed/shot. Lame ass Lambert looks lost (sorry Chris, we're still cool).

Mood ain't got nothing to do with any of that, right?

I feel a little bit ridiculous watching and enjoying this movie, like I'm a little boy seeing something naughty on late night telly, hoping that my mum won't walk in and embarrass me.

It's all so exaggerated and pompous you have to hand it to Snack Zider for pulling it off. I think anyone that doesn't enjoy the 300 on some level is either lying to themselves, lying to others or is just a little dead inside. My advice...embrace your…

What daring! What outrageousness! What insolence! What arrogance!... I salute you Mr Milius!

A truly momentous piece of cinematic metallurgy. Conan the Barbarian is most prized, a true tale of sorrow and high adventure unmatched. Sumptuous set design, costumes, camels, snakes, gore, score and whores galore.

Beautiful, pompous, authentic and magical, I demand, no I beg, that Hollywood creates a modern fantasy epic able to match Conan's thudding pace, thundering tone and grandiose scale.

Impeccably physical performances, stunning cinematography and…
