This sequel to Jurassic Park is a lot of fun and at times, it equals the sheer excitement of the original, and when I say that, I'm thinking of the trailer scene in particular.
Where it falls apart is the third act.
The third act of the film was a "last minute" idea Mr. Spielberg had.
He decided to feed a childhood obsession instead of letting the story progress.
Yes, The Lost World loses the "wow" factor from Jurassic Park. That was it's greatest obstacle to overcome and it does but going into King Kong and Godzilla territory really hinders the film.
That's why it's an inferior sequel, but still quite good.
