  Adam from YMS kept insisting that this was worse than Old, which I saw before this, and I told him that was physically impossible. He sat me down and made me watch this, and he was, inexplicably and perhaps for the first time ever, correct. Hats off.

  P.S. They do the ending reveal 50 minutes into a 90 minute movie which is absurd to the point of making you assume there's a different reveal at the end. And then there isn't. And then you just want to walk into the ocean.

  Every other Baz Luhrmann movie I see makes me feel like more and more of an idiot for liking The Great Gatsby. Like, I'm wrong about it, right? It must be bad too? Because Elvis, like every other Baz Luhrmann movie except The Great Gatsby (but probably also The Great Gatsby, don't @ me), is a movie that very much looks like it was made by someone who is REALLY bad at making movies and thinks he's REALLY good at making movies.

  I also like how Baz saw Kodi Smit-McPhee in Power of the Dog as androgynous twink cowboy and was like, "GOTTA HAVE IT."
